Review: Solfatare – Asservis par l’espoir
“Asservis par l’espoir” is a bleak and ambitious debut that balances dissonant black metal with moments of fragile melody, all carried by anguished French vocals that cut like a knife.
Sumerian Tombs offer their next delve into epic Black Metal. For listeners drawn to vampyric themes, ancient myth, and melodic Black Metal of depth, this album delivers. It requires patience, but rewards it. A worthy successor in their catalog that could be refined further, but already impressive.
